Why our installs hold up.
Premium contractors aren’t separated by what they install. They’re separated by what they install underneath — the prep, the membranes, the patience. Here’s a piece of what we do that you don’t see when the job’s finished.
- 01Stone
Carrara, Calacatta, Bardiglio.
We work in Italian marble from the Apuan Alps quarries that supplied Michelangelo. We know which slabs vein-match for a continuous look across a wall, and we plan layout before the saw comes out. We don’t substitute and we don’t fudge. Italian marble isn’t a material to us — it’s what Felice grew up around.
- 02Waterproofing
Schluter Kerdi on every wet wall.
Every wet zone gets a full Kerdi membrane, taped at every seam, with sealed corners and a Kerdi-Drain assembly. It’s invisible after install. It’s the difference between a shower that stays good for 20 years and one that needs gut-out at year 7.
- 03Proof
24-hour flood test before tile.
Before a single tile goes on, we plug the drain and flood-test the membrane for 24 hours. If it holds, we tile. If it doesn’t, we fix it now — not after your floor is done. Most contractors skip this. We document it.
- 04Precision
2 mm joints. Levelling clips on anything ≥12".
Tile lines that line up across rooms aren’t an accident. Every job dry-fits before mortar. Every large-format tile goes in with a levelling system. Lippage you can feel with bare feet doesn’t happen on our jobs because we don’t let it.

We take on what we can do well. We don’t run three jobs at once. The standard doesn’t bend depending on whose house we’re in.
